About

Jeanne Johngren makes commercial and editorial photographic images with a touch of ’90’s eye candy, a dash of theatrical flair, and a deep love of color. She began her career in the film and television business where she was a producer and graphic artist. Jeanne started taking pictures in high school with a 35 mm Minolta. In college, she studied English Literature and Art History, but spent many hours in the darkroom developing photographs of classmates. After graduating, she spent a year living abroad in Paris. When she returned, Jeanne put her liberal arts degree in storytelling and art into use as a filmmaker. Landing in NYC, Jeanne produced music videos, short films, features and commercials. A visual problem-solver and serial entrepreneur, she always notices color and contrast, light and composition, rhythm and randomness. Her drive to create took her for a spin in the jewelry business where she photographed all of her own work, including a full page ad in Town and Country magazine, and images for Veranda, WWD and Glamour.

With her film and TV production company, Parallax, she created motion picture projects with Hollywood A-listers, Fortune 500 firms, global advertising companies, TV networks, Rock n’ Roll Hall-of-famers, and non-profits. Jeanne is based in the NY Metro area with her own studio. She is known for her infectious laugh, incisive candor and joie de vivre.  Reach out and let’s talk about the story behind your next project.
